Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 on Xbox
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is available on Xbox Series X|S with online co-op, cross-platform multiplayer and a listed 60 FPS+ capability. Verified.
Yes. The game launched on Xbox Series X|S on August 25, 2026. The Xbox Store lists online co-op for two to four players, cross-platform multiplayer and 60 FPS+ capability.
Xbox Series X|S is a confirmed launch platform
The official Xbox product page confirms the Series X|S version and lists online co-op for two to four players, cross-platform co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. Its 60 FPS+ label is a store capability label. The page therefore confirms availability and the advertised capability, but does not publish a complete performance analysis for every Xbox console or display setup.
Online subscription is not catalog inclusion
The Xbox Store separately states the subscription requirement for online console multiplayer. That grants the relevant online access; it does not mean the game is included in the Game Pass catalog. The purchase listing and the Game Pass question must therefore be read separately, which is why the site has a dedicated Game Pass page.
Play Anywhere not published
Community reporting uses the Xbox Play Anywhere label, but the supplied official store text does not explicitly do so. Do not use a community label to promise shared ownership or saves between Xbox and PC. Until the official listing carries that label or an official support statement confirms it, the correct status is not published.
What is confirmed
The official Xbox product page lists Xbox Series X|S and PC as supported platforms.
Online multiplayer on console requires the relevant Game Pass subscription tier; this does not mean the game itself is included in the Game Pass catalog.
Community reporting calls it Xbox Play Anywhere, but that label is not explicit in the supplied official store text.

Step-by-step
- 1
Confirm the Xbox account and console generation
The Xbox store listing identifies Xbox Series X|S and lists August 25, 2026 with single-player plus online co-op for up to four players. Start here so the purchase is for the current console family rather than an older one.
- 2
Read the 60 FPS label as a store claim, not a tested number
The listing shows a capability of 60 FPS or higher. That is a store label, not a supplied benchmark for every mode or map. Treat it as platform support evidence and verify actual performance in the title’s settings for the mode you play.
- 3
Distinguish online multiplayer from Game Pass library access
The listing mentions a Game Pass subscription for online multiplayer. That is an online-access requirement, not proof that the game itself is included in the Game Pass catalog. Keep those two statements separate before deciding where to buy.
Frequently asked questions
Can I play Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 on Xbox?
Yes for Xbox Series X|S. The official store lists it as available and confirms single-player plus online co-op for up to four players.
Is the Game Pass subscription required?
The listing shows a Game Pass subscription for online multiplayer, not for single-player play. It is not the same as the game being part of the Game Pass catalog, which remains unpublished.
Does Xbox support Play Anywhere?
Community reporting uses the label, but the supplied official store text does not state it explicitly. Do not promise shared ownership or saves between Xbox and PC from that; verify the official Xbox listing before relying on it.
Limits and current status
Xbox Play Anywhere is therefore treated as medium-confidence rather than a confirmed store feature.
